Personal Sea Water Supply

When I lived in Halifax –
I lived by the sea –
That sea – over the years –
Became a part of me

Now – in my adult life –
I no longer live there –
But I still have a bit of it left in me –
A small supply that I take everywhere

I use this supply sparingly –
And only when I’m alone –
Drinking the few precious drops I shed –
Each time I need a little taste of home
