Two wrongs make a right –
Just about as often as
Two lefts make a right

Notes to this poem…
Every now and then, two rights will make a wrong. However, as far as I was concerned, when it doesn’t, two wrongs not only does not make a right, it’ll set you back and put you in the wrong way so much it’ll be about as good as taking two lefts. If you think about that, two lefts at 90 degrees each, sets you looking and going in the exact opposite direction from where you came.
Look at it another way. There are 360 degrees in a circle. If the degree of the direction you’re looking in isn’t right, you’ve got about a 1 in 359 chance of being right with the new direction you’ll be going, resulting from two wrongs. In other words, not often. The fact it’s the exact opposite direction is an additional a metaphor for setting you backward.
