I landed in Ho Chi Minh City on my return to Viet Nam. From my memory, the city was like this. You could see it from the air as the plane descended to land. Then you could confirm it upon being driven away from the airport to wherever you were going. And you didn’t have to drive far to confirm this, sadly.
