The press and Justin Trudeau basically wrote this one. I just summarized it in a shorter haiku format.
A reporter had asked newly sworn in Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, why was it so important for him to appoint a Cabinet that was gender balanced, with other context. After several weeks all kinds of people suddenly debating merit when it was never such a huge issue for over a century, Justin basically ended the conversation with the 7 syllable answer in quotes in the last line of the haiku. That I did not summarize nor paraphrase. You can see the event here.
