Big Lift Ferry Poem F034

Calm city beneath the snow –
Am I the only –
One in a hurry?

Notes to this poem…

This was written the day after a big snowstorm when I went to a meeting. While it was at 130 and I left at 1, I was still running late. Looking at the cities on the ferry ride, it seemed very few people were up, nor were anything moving. It was very calming seeing that after having rushed to the ferry and having to just sit for the ride over.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
