Lest you want to cry –

Notes to this poem…

From a history of many women who passed me up (i.e. dating, not dumping, me) only to end up in bad relationships, or ones of the “settling” kind, only to see me and the great overall life I have, I felt like doing a little haiku trash-talking tonight. This is in light of some experimental online dating I’m doing. I’m not expecting success. Just seeing how the discrimination of Nova Scotian women towards Asian men manifests itself on yet another platform that collects data in different ways from the others. I’ll save that long research story for some other time! 🙂

The S-series poems were composed while I was out skating on the Halifax Emera Skating Oval, to squeeze in writing time in a life that is always getting busier.
