A storm is heading this way –
The wind, it tells me –
More loudly with time

Notes to this poem…
A significant amount of rain is supposed to be falling on Halifax tomorrow. If I didn’t know that, I could probably have predicted it with the strong wind pushing through a lot of clouds. A strong wind that kept getting stronger and stronger, sounding louder in the process, as my journey around town continued, culminating with the ferry ride home. It’s as if it were carrying a verbal storm warning that was getting more urgent over time.
The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
