Running Poem R009

Running with the wind
Time seems to travel slower –
But goes by faster

Notes to this poem…

Running with the wind, you generally run faster than without a wind or against the wind if all else were equal. You run the same distance on the same effort in a shorter amount of time, as if time traveled slower. That’s the opposite feel of what I wrote about in Running Poem R6 in running against the wind. However, time despite time seeming to travel slower running with the wind, because you’re done sooner and the run is easier and funner to do, time seems to go by faster as per the proverb that time flies when you’re having fun.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
