One Stanza Poem O160

All aspects of my life –
Will converge like drawn lines
To a vanishing point –
Some time in the future –
Hopefully a very –
Very distant future

Notes to this poem…

A square poem is my own format creation where there are the same number of syllables in each line as there are lines in the poem. In this case, it is a 6 x 6 square poem. There are 6 syllables in each of the 6 lines.

I do a lot of things in life. A lot of them are supportive of others, as far as I’m concerned, even if some are just a feeling I know they will be valuable to my life somehow at some time. But those are the rare cases, not the norm.

I don’t think a lot of people see all the activities I engage in my life as being that way, though.

The O-series of poems are one stanza poems composed before I got onto writing haiku and tanka, and short poetry while in action or traveling by select means like plane or ferry. These poems are 3-9 lines long with at least one rhyming couplet, and not of the short forms just mentioned. For the sake of elegance, I just called the collection One.
