Short transfer today –
Karma got me back –
For the long transfer Monday

Notes to this poem…
Four days ago on Monday, I took the bus to a meeting and got a 3 hour transfer that was longer than what it should have been, and saved me an extra bus ticket to go home. I wrote a Big Lift Ferry poem about that on the way home in number F63.
On tonight’s trip, Karma got me back by giving me a 1.5 hour transfer. However, it turned out to be over 3 hours by the time I was on the ferry to go back home so it didn’t matter even if I did get another long transfer like Monday. Yes, Karma takes care of me quite well… though I have to say I work hard to earn it, too.
I don’t actually know what the proper transfer length should be but I know it’s not 3 hours. It’s 1.5 or 2 hours. However, I don’t care to argue transfers cause the bus drivers here are usually a bit more lenient than usual, with 2.5 seeming to be the typical that I get, which I very much appreciate. It’s too bad there are all kinds of people who don’t, trying to cheat, arguing transfers and fares all the time.
The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
