Haiku H085

Crazy busy day
Yet I avoided
Eating any McDonald’s

Notes to this poem…

I eat McDonald’s far more often than I should. There, I said it!

On really busy days, though, I don’t feel guilty about it. I’ll sacrifice a little bad food for time saved cooking or eating out elsewhere, not to mention money. However, today, despite running lots of places from waking to sleep and cramming lots of things in on deadlines, I was proud of myself of having prepared my own food to get two really healthy meals for all of $10.33. I got a Thai Express fried rice combo and added it to my steam rice / quinoa mix, then split in two for two pretty healthy meals!

I’m pretty proud of myself for that. Sometimes, it’s just good to know what you can do if you had your act together all the time! 🙂

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
