Notes to this poem…

The Bluenose marathon ran in Halifax today. I was in Dartmouth laying down lines on the clay courts at St George’s Tennis Club. That involved about seven hours hammering, on and off but more on than off. That’s got to count for a marathon of some sort, right? Well, it’s my version of one for today cause it’s not like I had trained for it to make it easy!

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
