Halifax’s Public Gardens
This evening was
A small paradise

Notes to this poem…
When I strolled through Halifax’s Public Gardens this evening, it was nice and quiet. Few people were around, no discernible traffic noise and everything seemed in bloom. The weather was just right for me, too. I don’t know how often it would be like this, but it felt like a small paradise in the moment.
The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
