Tanka T064

Reading through over
Two hundred of my haiku –
To find ones about –
Rain, shine, snow, fog, wind and time –
To make concrete poetry

Copyright by Minh Tan on listed dated of completion.

Notes to this poem…

The concrete poetry done with groups of haiku was discussed in Tanka 60. This is the process of scouring through haiku I have written in order to find suitable ones, and figure out how many I have to write on each topic to get the number I need to do my concrete poetry.

The poems titled Tanka, followed by a number, are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
