Haiku H105

Dialing your number
Symbolically by
Pushing your buttons

Copyright by Minh Tan on listed dated of completion.

Notes to this poem…

I had the joy of dialing one of those push button phones again today. While doing so, I thought about the idiom of pushing someone’s buttons, and came up with this delightfully personal symbolism of a metaphor. Don’t just push someone’s buttons, do it like they were buttons on the phone of their phone numbers for that extra annoyance. 😉

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
