Haiku H111

Trash talkin’ haiku –
Ev’rything a real haiku
Ain’t supposed to be

Notes to this poem…

A little fun, writing about the trash talking haiku I wrote in Haiku 110 and a handful of others prior to that. Seems I do it often enough I should make a statement about it. 🙂

I write haiku purely for the 17 syllable format in some combination of two 5 syllable and one 7 syllable lines, to be clear. I try to incorporate nature into it where I can. I don’t care about avoiding similes and metaphors and often aim to put one in because those are the elements I love most about poetry.

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
