Notes to this poem…

So much for always traveling on the upper deck as mentioned in the previous Big Lift Poem (136). I met my friend Jessica, who I don’t see very often, in the terminal coming home from tennis. The conversation quickly turned into her wanting to know how tennis is scored because she had never understood it. It’s a bit wacky so I taught it to her. I didn’t want to leave it half way and run off to the upper deck, and not catch up otherwise also. Jessica said she wouldn’t go on the upper deck cause she was a “princess” and was cold from sweating teaching Bellyfit and other dance classes, which was from where she was coming. There’s a frost warning tonight so she’s not that much of a princess, lol.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
