Big Lift Ferry Poem F148

Riding the ferry
All day today in the sun –
Is like going to
An outdoor tanning salon
On the waters for ten bucks

Notes to this poem…

Ten bucks would only get you about 7.5 to 10 hours of travel. However, natural sun tanning hours are probably not much more than that, and you’d probably not want to tan for longer than that. They probably won’t let you on wearing a bikini or swimsuit, but you can still tan enough of yourself in short tights and tank top. Nice that summer like weather is finally here.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
