Big Lift Ferry Poem F166

Shed blood at tennis tonight –
Diving for the ball –
And sliding to stop

Notes to this poem…

I was slightly injured and didn’t have the mobility I usually had. Why I dove for the ball on that shot is still a mystery to me. Nothing big was at stake. It wasn’t even an important point! Let’s see if I’m going to get scars from this cause it was on gravel like “clay” tennis courts.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
