Tanka T103

I develop my
Patience on many days by
Waiting for the bus –
When I could easily own
A car or take a taxi

Notes to this poem…

I’ve set up my life well to minimize the impact of waiting for buses, though, like living across the street from work and near a major terminal. However, I still exercise this lifestyle to also save money. It baffles a lot of people who know don’t believe I do it for that reason, but for reasons more of need, like maybe I can’t really drive or don’t make much money or spend it all, etc. sometimes only because they can’t see themselves doing it so nobody else could be, either! 🙂

The T-series poems are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
