Big Lift Ferry Poem F242

What do I have to draw –
That hasn’t been drawn?
Or rarely drawn?
Is what I ask myself –
To figure out how –
I might leave my mark –
On the world of art

Notes to this poem…

Much more likely “rarely” been drawn, in terms of styles. It wouldn’t be subjects unless you were counting individuals as unique subjects rather than just a human being, and a certain angle of them.

Same thing goes for poetry with its own criteria. 🙂

But most of it is art for the sake of self-expression, not necessarily for the purpose of doing something so different for the sake of that. That’s not that hard to do. It’d just likely be crappy if one did that as the primary intent.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
