Big Lift Ferry Poem F268

Should I wish for some
Inevitabilities
That I can’t wait for –
With shooting stars seen tonight?
Or wish for hard to get stuff?

Notes to this poem…

The Perseid meteor showers supposedly peak tonight, and is better than since 2009 or so with around triple the shooting stars of other years, up to three a minute, on average. I’ve got a few things I’m waiting on, though they’re more inevitabilities than wishes, in my opinion. I’m just wishing factors needed to make them happen beyond my control would happen sooner. But a little celestial request for help never hurts, you know what I’m saying? 🙂

But I don’t want to waste it all on stuff that would ultimately happen, if any. I guess I’ll have to find the balance when the time comes on how many to spend on each wish.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
