Haiku H182

Some groups in life are
Homogeneous enough
To paint with one stroke

Notes to this poem…

I’m an analyst so I write this haiku analytically, not emotionally or judgmentally. The thing with these groups, though, is that they’re not easily defined, like by race, age, gender, nationality, community or anything like common demographics. And they’re certainly not big enough to have an ism associated with whatever stroke by which I paint them, and it’s not always a bad stroke by any means. They’re actually more often good than bad strokes, as bad as painting any group with one stroke might be. But I stand by my judgment and will keep who they are to myself, not the least because explaining and providing supporting evidence would be a huge post for each one, given I do not easily or quickly decide this, ever.

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
