The local smokers –
Welcomed me to Alaska –
Or so it would seem

Notes to this poem…
The moment I got outside the airport in the Anchorage, there were smokers around me everywhere! I don’t mean it was crowded with smokers. There’s not many crowds in Alaska. But everywhere I went, there were smokers, evident by the air I had to breathe that was anything but natural Alaskan!
The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
