Notes to this poem…
An ever gentle Northern Lights a bit far away from us over the land near the horizon led me to think it looked like a bunch of tiny glowing angels gathered like a crowd doing the wave. Except in the sky curtain of the Northern Lights, the wave would be going back and forth from edge to edge, not around a stadium like seen in the video below.
These cruise poems were written on my first ever cruise between September 2nd and 9th, from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, British Columbia. Most were written at night on my limited down time from family, in the dark of the Helideck at the front of the ship, often alone beneath the night skies of Alaska.
