Notes to this poem…

I brought my iPod out on the Helideck despite knowing I would want some time without music. After having composed a bunch of poems, I took a break and put on my earphones to listen to music. I chose my favourite love songs, and I sang some of them out to the stars alone at the front of the ship on the Helideck for what was quite an experience. 🙂

I was thinking just what Linda was thinking in the intro of the video below, and I sung it like I had a million stars listening to me. I was even crying by the end! As for the 3000 people on the ship? What people??? 🙂

I wonder if anyone were watching on the ship or if they were just all partying, sleeping or working (crew).

Still my favourite love song, and glad it’s not all popular so I can feel like it’s mine. 🙂

These cruise poems were written on my first ever cruise between September 2nd and 9th, from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, British Columbia. Most were written at night on my limited down time from family, in the dark of the Helideck at the front of the ship, often alone beneath the night skies of Alaska.
