Vehicles go right –
While pedestrians go left –
The guard on duty –
She saw me running her way –
And pointed me to the right

Notes to this poem…
This was in the tiny town of Hoonah, Alaska, that was a port of call on the Alaskan cruise I took. Just outside the parking lot for tour buses, there was a split in the road. Pedestrians were directed one way and vehicles another. I charged in and the lady there pointed me to the right where vehicles went.
What a sense of humour! Best memory I have of Hoonah! 🙂
The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
