Notes to this poem…
Pep talk stuff, where one usually exaggerates and/or are a bit more “in your face” about things. And if there were people, or groups of people, standing in your way, you’re probably not going to sound very courteous and polite towards them, either. You can also tell yourself to do some things to extremes that might make you seem like you have serious issues. 🙂
