Harbour is part sea –
And part lake tonight –
From reflections off the waves

Notes to this poem…
Some parts of the harbour water surface was covered with many small waves, badly distorting reflections off of it. Others parts were so still you could count the number of street lights reflected in it, which reminded me more of a clear lake than ocean water which should always have some waves in it, should it not?
The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
