Big Lift Ferry Poem F300

The sea in the clouds –
Is more turbulent than the
Sea in the harbour

Notes to this poem…

300 Big Lift Ferry Poems! Woohoo! Wow! I never ever thought I’d have gotten anywhere near this many considering the struggle I had to write some at the beginning of this idea, and maybe doing 100 ferry rides a year, at most!

On this night, looking up, I saw the clouds looking rather choppy. A little like the sea below me in the harbour, but a lot more severe.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
