Tanka T119

I would love it if –
A nude model at life drawing –
Had a strong sun burn –
Around a body laid on
Top of her front or back side

Notes to this poem…

Someone I knew was talking about having gotten a strange sunburn on vacation, having fallen asleep while tanning with book and phone in her hand while awake. Obviously, I couldn’t see that burn pattern, but I thought about life drawing models being nude and how if one had a burn, it would show up. The more interesting the burn, the funnier it’d be. However, if it were something a bit more erotic, like a body overing covering parts of them, people might smile a bit more than laugh. 🙂

The T-series poems are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
