Big Lift Ferry Poem F312

Went back to dreaming –
Twice last night to force a dream –
To end and it worked!
It was so compelling I
Had to know how it would end

Notes to this poem…

I am so amazed I was able to wake up from a dream that was unfinished, remember it all, and get myself to go back to sleep to continue it since it was cut off prematurely when I woke from it. I don’t know why I woke up from it, but I did and the only thing I could think about was to go back to sleep and see if I continue it.

I don’t have time to write a short story about this dream as it was quite detailed and complicated as a mystery. You can’t have generic mysteries with vague, high level sort of details. Mysteries are all about details. Anyhow, aside from solving this mystery, there was going to be a revenge factor involved pending who did it. I’m not sure whether I was more driven to solve the mystery or to enact the revenge once I solved it, to want to finish the dream so badly, to be honest. When I’ve got my mind really set on something, I don’t give up easily, let’s just say it that way. However, the way the mystery was resolved, I was convinced I would just leave it to my karma to take care of business, cause she’s usually far nastier than I could ever be for getting justice done. She hasn’t failed me yet in life, and even in my dreams, she didn’t. 😉

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
