Big Lift Ferry Poem F313

Lots of rain couldn’t keep me
Below deck this blah
Sunday ferry ride

Notes to this poem…

I promised myself I’d be on the upper deck of the ferry on all the rides, no matter how bad the weather, unless I had to avoid being anti-social with people I knew to abandon them for the ride. I rarely take the ferry with anybody and today was no exception. The rain was cold and heavy, and I was going to have to be indoors after I got to Dartmouth, meaning put up with wet cold clothes, potentially, but whatever. I made it through all right.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
