Notes to this poem…

This was written on one of the last nights I would be playing tennis this year, with colder weather coming. Tennis is the main reason I take the ferry during hours when the Big Lift project is going on that prevents me from taking a vehicle home from tennis. These Big Lift Ferry poems are going to be far and few in between soon, and done with by the end of 2016 as the Big Lift schedule predicts. But even if it ran late, or some form of continuation scheduled to follow would close the bridge often, I wouldn’t have many reasons to take the ferry during winter so I can see the end of this collection coming.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
