Tanka T128

Saw a portrait of
An unsolved murder victim –
And could only think –
How photography just ain’t –
As good as it used to be

Notes to this poem…

reet-jurvetsonThis was the photo. I thought she was just beautiful the way she is captured here. Breath-taking, to be honest.

Shame on me I thought about photography when really, I should be sympathizing for the murder victim. I hope they resolve the case. The woman’s name is Reet Jurvetson.

The T-series poems are tanka composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Tanka collection.
