Big Lift Ferry Poem F345

Longer ferry ride
To Woodside should mean –
More poems than usual

Notes to this poem…

A bit of a joke as if writing poems were a mathematical relationship. Not a very funny one, but the thought entered my mind as I’m feeling under the gun to get more poems written to meet my new target of 400 ferry ride poems before the year and bridge redecking is done, after which I probably wouldn’t be taking the ferry often. That and I’d have no more reason to go to the Dartmouth side much any more now that tennis season is over and I’m also no longer on my tennis club’s board to have to attend monthly meetings in Dartmouth.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
