Going to Woodside –
To visit all the crazies –
But just in my mind

Notes to this poem…

The Nova Scotia hospital is where those with mental illness requiring serious treatment over time are treated. It’s not far from the Woodside ferry terminal. Hence, the reference, with a little inside joke about visiting the patients in my mind. Of course, that’s not politically correct to do that but you know, people have just got to lighten up some time and also not be hypocritical for what they also say and do. Sadly, most people just aren’t that aware of their own words and actions and a lot more aware and judgmental of the words and actions of others.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
