Dancing with the leaves –
Dancing at my feet to keep
From stepping on them

Notes to this poem…
It was a windy day. Leaves were blowing and swirling in Point Pleasant Park when this happened. They were dancing at my feet, so the idiom goes. I thought I’d have a little fun to avoid stepping on them while I run. In doing so, I was doing my own dance, it felt like.
The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
