Running Poem R061

Made a turn and found
Myself on a path
Spot lit by the super moon

Notes to this poem…

Super moon night and I planned a run to observe the biggest one in about 70 years! It wasn’t super big here in Halifax, but it was beautiful to see lots of people out waiting for it, and it was beautiful as moon rises always are.

At the tip of Point Pleasant Park there is a small loop. I ran this clockwise today, to come back and see the super moon rising to start my run back home. I expected to see the moon, but what I didn’t expect was that it was perfectly lined up with the path! In the dark of the park, there was just me on this little path, with the moon directly aligned to it to provide a spot light straight down the path for me.

What a magical moment! I’m so glad I ventured that far into the park after it had gotten dark! 🙂

Last poem for this run. Most I’ve ever composed on a run.

The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
