Rough seas from tugboat
And container ship –
Engine backwash turbulence

Notes to this poem…

On this ferry ride home, they were kind enough to let a huge container ship aided by tugboats go by before swooping in behind rather than cutting in front, even though there was plenty of room. In behind, there was a lot of engine turbulence, rather than the natural kind you’d expect from the general ferry rides.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
