Big Lift Ferry Poem F363

It must be high tide –
Cause not much shore is showing –
Wait till the seas rise!

Notes to this poem…

When the harbour water levels really creep up on the ferry terminals, as well as the waterfront, it is really stark for how much gets hidden, and how much more that would be really damaging or harmful could be with just a little more more of a rise! This high tide was quite remarkable to show how much could disappear, but it was only the tide. When the oceans levels rise due to global warming, watch out!

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
