Notes to this poem…

I have tennis friends from the past two years who I only see for six months a year because I don’t play indoor tennis during the winter, or they don’t play outdoors tennis, either, and we haven’t made any efforts to be more than friends for six months of the year. I’ll have to see if I will want to do anything to reconcile this as given they’re not making any efforts, either, maybe there isn’t anything there to make something out of nothing at all. Interesting social dilemma I hadn’t thought about in the previous two winters. 🙂

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
