Is it logical
That I can hate olives while
Loving olive oil?

Notes to this poem…

I do! But does it make sense? I would say yes and explain it with degree of taste. I use olive oil in my pasta salads and for some cooking, but pretty sparingly. I can taste it in some instances but not much. Other instances it’s just a better oil to use for frying than other oils out there. Its taste is masked with everything else like eggs, bacon, soya sauce and lemon juice when I eat omelettes with steamed rice. However, getting a dose of an actual olive like on a pizza, or in a salad, is way too much for my liking.

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
