Sometimes it’s better –
Not to know better –
To enjoy life and the world

Notes to this poem…
The Emera Skating Oval reopened again in Halifax today for the winter! That means a lot of skating poems will be on the way for the next 3 months or so, and not many running poems… except the ones I have to catch up on annotating from earlier this year.
I’ve been watching some of the best singing auditions for those “Got Talent” (America, Britain, Korea, Spain, Norway, etc.) and “X-factor” shows, and have been amazed to the point of crying! I have compiled a YouTube playlist if you want to enjoy some of the same episodes. I shared some and some supposed singing experts have chimed in about how some of the singing was not all that great for techniques, actually.
Well, I’ll tell you one thing. Some of these supposed “better” techniques, sucks! It’s not no soul, too much junk jammed in, rote routines, etc. You might as well get a machine to sing it… and it still wouldn’t actually sound “better”. Maybe in some physics acoustics sense like a nicer wave graph, but what the hell does that have to do with art?
As far as I’m concerned, they can keep their “better” singing to themselves. That includes some of their singing! 😉
The R-series poems were composed while I was out running, in an effort to find time for writing in a life that is always getting busier.
