I think watching snow melt is
More interesting
Than watching paint dry

Notes to this poem…

It’s a balmy 8 degrees Celsius (46 F)  in Halifax and there’s about 60 cm of snow on the ground (2 feet). That means it’s Melting Day, unofficially. A lot of snow will be turning to water and flowing away, possibly flooding some lower lying areas. Just going in and out after a few hours from some locations, you can very easily see the difference due to melting. It wouldn’t be so obvious watching the entire time, but where water pools, you’d definitely be able to see. All in all, more interesting than watching paint dry where not much is happening visibly. 🙂

The S-series poems were composed while I was out skating on the Halifax Emera Skating Oval, to squeeze in writing time in a life that is always getting busier.
