Notes to this poem…
I had a few skates where I was with people so I didn’t end up composing poems. Then a cold spell came, busy life and such that it’s been a while since I’ve put in a skating poem.
The sentiment expressed here is something I fully believe in regarding fashion. There have been a lot of awful fashion trends where if it weren’t for someone pushing it, it wouldn’t have gone anywhere and would have been doomed to the fate it deserved for its awfulness.
The S-series poems were composed while I was out skating on the Halifax Emera Skating Oval, to squeeze in writing time in a life that is always getting busier.
