Big Lift Ferry Poem F377

Ocean above me –
Ocean below me –
In the forms of clouds and sea

Copyright by Minh Tan on listed dated of completion.

Notes to this poem…

The clouds tonight were their own ocean in form, looking like turbulent waves upside down from overhead. They were like an reflection of the waves on the sea below me, inverted in colour so as to be light with dark trims and crests rather than dark like the waters with light crests.

The F-series poems are part of a collection composed on my ferry rides across Halifax Harbour when the buses aren’t crossing the MacDonald bridge due to the Big Lift bridge redecking. This should keep happening until at least December 2016.
