Notes to this poem…
The gas station I saw this at in Arizona isn’t the only one to do this, I’m sure. I just thought it, both, ironic and foreboding, that with the electric car revolution coming on to displace gas cars, that this place that survives on the latter, was also embracing the former.
The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
