Haiku H232

Flight heading east in
The dark before dawn –
Racing to meet the sunrise

Copyright by Minh Tan on listed dated of completion.

Notes to this poem…

Unlike the flight west I had to Arizona from New Orleans earlier in this vacation, where I basically saw an extended sun rise in going against the rotation of the Earth, here I was flying with the rotation and racing to meet and crash into an accelerated sunrise. Not nearly as pretty as the drawn out sunrise, I can tell you that!

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
