I don’t have beautiful hands –
But they now sure can –
Play beautiful tunes

Notes to this poem…

First time I played the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata, by Beethoven, on piano, error free! Not bad for someone who started barely 6 months before! If you don’t know what that piece is, I’ve attached what I consider the definitive recording among the many out there, by Argentinean pianist Claudio Arrau in the video below (first 6:48). I can’t play it anywhere like this, obviously, but I have the general tempo and notes down for it to sound beautiful enough, with credits to Beethoven to have written such a beautiful piece that a more or less mechanical interpretation still sounds wonderful!

I feel like I have magic in my hands being able to pull off this! 🙂

The H-series poems comprise of haiku composed while I was not engaged in some activity during which I frequently composed poetry. That is why these are called the Inactive Haiku collection.
